Running With Dad

Earlier Today my dad and I took a nice run. We ran 2.51 miles. I have these really nice running shoes that I are pretty new and haven't been used very much, and I really like them. There really really comfortable. My goal for is to increase my distance by a mile each week. For example this week I'm going to run 2.5 miles each day and next week I will run 3.5 miles each day for that week and etc.

As you can see that isn't really fast but as I increase my distance each week I will try to also increase my speed. My goal is to get my time down to 8 minutes.

Good job, Doug. Don't think you have to increase mileage or speed every time. Do those when it feels right. Progress comes in spurts and jumps, not steadily.
